Export an AiM session as CSV

Before you start

• A recorded AiM session and a computer with Race Studio installed.
• Your logger’s supported USB or Wi-Fi connection, if the session is still on the device.
• A folder on your computer for the exported .csv file.

Export your data

1. 01

   Connect your logger

   Open Race Studio 3 and connect the logger using the connection supported by your device. Find the recorded session in the data download view.

2. 02

   Enable CSV on download

   In Race Studio 3, open Preferences → Data Download → Advanced. Enable the CSV export option, then download the session. Race Studio can generate an export alongside the downloaded data.

3. 03

   Export an existing session

   For a session available in RS2 Analysis, open the test and choose File → Data Export. Select CSV, include the full session and the channels you want to analyse, and save.

   Keep the file as exported

   Locate the .csv in your export folder. Preserve its header, units, and timing rows. Avoid opening and re-saving it in a spreadsheet before uploading.

Keep the useful channels

The analysis can only use what your device recorded. Preserve these channels when they are available:

Time & lap markers

The timeline and lap boundaries that keep a session in order.

Speed & distance

The foundation for comparing pace and locating changes around a lap.

GPS position

Latitude and longitude for the driven line and track map.

Throttle & brake

Driver inputs that help explain the speed trace. These require the appropriate sensors or ECU connection.

RPM, gear & acceleration

Extra context for shifts, cornering load, acceleration, and deceleration.

Bring your session into Laptura

1. 01

   Open Laptura

   Sign in to your Laptura account and open the session upload area. If you’re waiting for beta access, you can still prepare and keep your export for later.

2. 02

   Upload the telemetry file

   Choose the file you prepared. Keep the original extension and upload the data file itself, rather than a ZIP archive, video, or screenshot.

3. 03

   Check the session

   When processing finishes, check the track, lap count, and available channels. Start with a complete lap and compare it with another clean lap from the same session.

Common fixes

• A lap-time report is a summary, not a telemetry export. Export the channel samples for the session.
• If an export looks incomplete, check the selected laps, time range, and channels in Race Studio.
• Menu names vary by Race Studio version. The official export reference below covers the download and RS2 Analysis workflows.
